We're seeking an experienced EL1 Business Analyst to support a major transformation initiative within a large Federal Government agency. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex business and technology projects, driving process improvement and stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Elicit, analyse and document business requirements and user stories.
- Conduct current-state and future-state process mapping and process improvement activities.
- Facilitate workshops and collaborate with business stakeholders, SMEs and delivery teams.
- Support Agile delivery, solution design, testing and business readiness activities.
- Provide practical recommendations to address complex business challenges.

Key Skills & Experience

- Strong business analysis experience, including requirements gathering, documentation and traceability.
- Proven capability in business process mapping and improvement.
- Experience developing user stories, acceptance criteria and business requirements documentation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and facilitation skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments alongside Product Owners and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

Desirable

- Experience in digital transformation, service design or business improvement programs.
- Knowledge of Jira, Confluence and Azure DevOps.
- Previous experience within the APS or other complex government environments.




- Relevant qualifications or certifications in Business Analysis, Agile, Scrum or Lean.
