As our hospital continues to evolve, we’re looking for an enthusiastic, capable Equine Veterinary Nurse to join our team. This is an all-rounder nursing role within a busy equine hospital, ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day-to-day work and has a genuine interest in surgery.

We place a high value on genuine horsemanship. Confidence handling horses, strong situational awareness, and an understanding of equine behaviour and safety are essential in our hospital environment.

? About the Role

This position offers exposure across all areas of equine hospital nursing, including:

- Medical case management and hospital care
- Assisting with lameness workups and procedures
- Preparation and maintenance of surgical theatres
- Supporting anaesthesia and surgical procedures
- Sterilisation and infection control
- Bandaging, catheter care, fluid therapy and medication administration
- Patient monitoring and recovery
- Stock control and equipment maintenance

While this is not a surgery-only role,



we are particularly keen to find someone who is motivated to develop their skills in theatre alongside general nursing duties. ? What We’re Looking For

- Equine nursing experience preferred
- A strong interest in surgery and anaesthesia
- Confidence handling horses in a hospital environment
- Ability to remain calm and organised in high-pressure situations
- High attention to detail and strong clinical standards
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset
- A desire to grow and build a long-term career in equine practice
