Events & Engagement Manager. Part-time. Work from home. A calendar the state's founders actually clear their diaries for.

I'm Eva, from Itch Recruitment, and I've been asked to find someone unusually positive to curate a year of events for a private community of Perth business owners.

Not a networking group. Not a chamber. A tight, invite-only membership of founders and majority shareholders running businesses that matter in this state.

The calendar reflects that. Around 20 events a year. Intimate lunches with names most Perth business pages know on sight. Full-day workshops with international CEO coaches. A gala with a theme, a dress code and a guest list that turns up.

A biennial chapter retreat, sometimes local, sometimes in a helicopter over the Himalayas. Family days that welcome partners and teenagers, not just members. The odd behind the scenes at a WA icon.

Your job is to make sure every one of them lands.

Why the role is unusually good

- Permanent, part-time, 30 hours a week. Flex it as 40 one week and 20 the next
- Predominantly work from home. Present for events, the odd board meeting, and a coffee with the coworkers when it's useful
- Genuine autonomy. No committee approving your creative. No line manager rewriting your run sheet
- A calendar you'll be proud to sign your name to
- A general manager and a volunteer board that will hand you the strategy, hand you the trust, and let you run
- $75,000 to $95,000 pro rata, depending on experience

What the year looks like

- An annual calendar shaped by member feedback, attendance data and real conversations
- Concept papers that read like a pitch, not a form
- Speakers negotiated. Venues secured. Suppliers held to a standard
- Run sheets so tight another person could pick them up and run the night if they had to
- Campaigns that make members forward the invite to their spouse without being asked




- Registrations tracked, nudged and rescued long before the number becomes a problem
- Onsite delivery that looks calm from the outside, no matter what the kitchen is doing
- Meaningful post-event reviews with data, learnings and continuous improvement
- Members who have gone quiet, spotted early and warmly reconnected before their renewal date

Who I'm looking forYou'll likely come from a membership, events or client engagement background, with experience creating high-quality experiences for senior audiences. If you've worked closely with a board or committee before, even better. You're commercial, organised and a strong communicator. You can manage budgets, spot when something is off track and write communications people actually want to read.

You can hold your own with a founder. Prepared, warm and clear. You'll work closely with a volunteer board of successful business owners and turn ideas into action.

Most importantly, you're self-directed. Working from home doesn't rattle you. Owning your workload, calendar and results is how you prefer to work.

The honest bit about the hours

Some events start at breakfast. Some run late. A handful will keep you overnight, and once or twice a year there may be interstate or international travel. That's the nature of it. In return, the rest of the fortnight bends around you.
