Wyn & Co is currently working with multiple well-established civil construction clients seeking experienced sub-division Civil Construction Excavator operators and labourers to join ongoing projects across North Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.

We have opportunities for experienced labourers, as well as Excavator operators and machine spotters looking to build their experience within skilled civil crews.

These are long-term, ongoing positions, with the opportunity for temp-to-perm employment for the right candidates.

THE ROLES

Depending on your experience, you may be involved in:

- Pipe laying and installation of stormwater, sewer and drainage works
- Civil construction and subdivision projects
- Trenching and excavation works
- Bedding, backfilling and pipe preparation
- Assisting operators and pipe crews
- Spotting plant and machinery
- General civil labouring duties
- Site clean-up and manual handling
- Working safely around excavations and underground services
- Assisting experienced pipelayers and leading hands

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Civil Labourers:

- Previous civil construction or pipe crew experience
- Experience assisting with pipe laying, drainage or excavation works highly regarded
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Comfortable performing physical labouring duties
- Ability to work effectively as part of a crew
- Current driver's licence
- All PPE (hard hat, hi vis shirt, long work pants and steel cap boots)
- White Card
- Reliable transport
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable, punctual and honest
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test where required

Excavator Operators:

- 3+ years’ excavator operating experience on civil construction projects
- Relevant RII tickets/licences and white construction card




- Proven experience operating excavators using GPS – Trimble and/or Topcon highly desired
- Experience using multiple excavator attachments
- Final trim and detailed excavation experience highly desirable
- Ability to collaborate effectively with operators, trades and labourers
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety guidelines
- Reliable, respectful, and team-oriented attitude
- Reliable transport and your own required PPE
- Immediate availability

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- Previous civil construction, pipelaying or pipe crew experience
- Current driver's licence
- All PPE (hard hat, hi vis shirt, long work pants and steel cap boots)
- White Card
- Reliable transport
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable, punctual and honest
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test where required
