Purpose:

This role is responsible for originating, structuring, executing and managing complex leveraged finance transactions across sponsor-backed, acquisition finance and event-driven opportunities. The role will lead execution across private equity sponsors, corporates, infrastructure investors and institutional capital providers, delivering tailored financing solutions including leveraged loans, acquisition facilities, bridge financings, refinancing, recapitalisations and opportunistic event-driven structures.

Core responsibilities of the role include:

- Leading the structuring and execution of Leveraged buyouts, Acquisition financings , recapitalisations and dividend recaps - managing the transaction processes from origination through financial close
- Coordinating internal stakeholders including credit, legal, syndications, risk, treasury and operations teams.
- Structuring and executing financing solutions related to strategic corporate events
- Assessing market dynamics, transaction catalysts and execution risks in time-sensitive environments.
- Presenting transactions to internal credit and investment committees.
- Monitoring portfolio performance, market trends and leverage finance conditions.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory, legal and internal risk frameworks.
- Mentoring and develop junior bankers and execution professionals.
- Leading deal teams across multiple concurrent transactions.
- Fostering a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, execution excellence and client outcomes.
- Contributing to strategic planning and broader platform initiatives.

Required experience, skills or qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Commerce, Economics or related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualifications (MBA, CFA or equivalent) preferred.




- 12+ years’ experience in leveraged finance, acquisition finance, sponsor finance, investment banking or structured lending.
- Strong understanding of Australian and international leveraged finance markets.
- Demonstrated execution experience across complex sponsor-backed and event-driven transactions.
- Solid network across private equity sponsors, institutional investors and advisory communities.
- Proven capability leading negotiations and managing complex stakeholder environments.
- Advanced financial modelling and credit analysis capability.
- Deep understanding of leveraged loan markets, capital structures and debt products.
- Strong knowledge of syndicated lending, underwriting and debt capital markets execution.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
