GM3 is inviting expressions of interest from experienced mining professionals for potential roles at Tahmoor Mine following the proposed recommencement of operations.
We are excited about the opportunity to support the next chapter of Tahmoor Mine and are looking for experienced people who would like to help build a safe, productive and sustainable operation.
Successful candidates for these roles will be employed by GM3 and are expected to be based at Tahmoor Mine following completion of the proposed acquisition.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the recommencement of a mine with a proud history, help rebuild operational capability and be part of a strong and experienced mining team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Manager Continuous Improvement, the Business Improvement Specialist will play a key role in supporting performance, improvement and project activities across Tahmoor Mine. This role will help identify improvement opportunities, support the design and implementation of solutions, track value delivery and ensure improvements are embedded into business-as-usual practices.
This role is based at Tahmoor Mine, located in the Southern Highlands of NSW, approximately 80 kilometres south-west of Sydney and within easy commuting distance of Wollongong, the Macarthur region and surrounding communities.
Key activities include but are not limited to
- Develop and support performance management frameworks, including business planning, KPIs, reporting cycles and monthly priorities
- Monitor, analyse and report financial, people and functional performance metrics to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
- Coordinate budget, forecast and value driver analysis to support informed decision-making and sustainable business performance
- Diagnose performance issues across people, processes and systems, and recommend practical improvement solutions
- Support and lead improvement projects, including scope definition, planning, governance, progress tracking, reporting and value capture
- Support change management activities and maintain improvement systems, including Power BI, SharePoint and related platforms, to embed improvements into business-as-usual practices
ABOUT YOU
You will bring:
- Solid analytical, problem-solving and root cause identification skills
- Sound business acumen, with an understanding of organisational performance, budgeting and forecasting processes
- Experience in project management, change management, business planning or organisational strategy
- Ability to work through ambiguity, manage complexity and deliver projects to agreed scope, plan and standards
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, influencing and coaching skills
- Strong continuous improvement mindset, with confidence using tools such as Power BI, Excel and SharePoint
