GM3 is inviting expressions of interest from experienced mining professionals for potential roles at Tahmoor Mine following the proposed recommencement of operations.
We are excited about the opportunity to support the next chapter of Tahmoor Mine and are looking for experienced people who would like to help build a safe, productive and sustainable operation.
Successful candidates for these roles will be employed by GM3 and are expected to be based at Tahmoor Mine following completion of the proposed acquisition.
This is a unique prospect to contribute to the recommencement of a mine with a proud history, help rebuild operational capability and be part of a strong and experienced mining team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager, the Electrical Engineer (2IC) will support the safe, compliant and reliable delivery of electrical engineering and maintenance outcomes across Tahmoor Mine.
This role is based at Tahmoor Mine, located in the Southern Highlands of NSW, approximately 80 kilometres south-west of Sydney and within easy commuting distance of Wollongong, the Macarthur region and surrounding communities.
Key activities include but are not limited to
- Support statutory compliance, engineering governance and the Mine Safety Management System for electrical engineering activities.
- Provide technical support across electrical equipment, maintenance, infrastructure and operational priorities.
- Support the development and implementation of electrical standards, procedures, inspections, permits and critical controls.
- Assist with audits, risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective action close-out.
- Coordinate electrical maintenance priorities, resources, contractors and execution requirements.
- Support asset reliability, troubleshooting, commissioning, change management and continuous improvement activities.
ABOUT YOU
What you’ll bring:
- Relevant electrical engineering qualification, trade background, statutory ticket or equivalent recognised electrical discipline experience.
- Experience in underground coal mining, preferably across electrical engineering, maintenance, statutory compliance or operational support.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety, statutory obligations, risk management, critical controls and Mine Safety Management System requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to support engineering governance, standards, procedures, inspections, maintenance execution and compliance activities.
- Sound technical troubleshooting, reliability improvement, planning and problem-solving capability.
- Ability to communicate clearly, influence stakeholders and work effectively across engineering, maintenance, production, planning and compliance teams.
