GM3 is inviting expressions of interest from experienced mining professionals for potential roles at Tahmoor Mine following the proposed recommencement of operations.

Successful candidates for these roles will be employed by GM3 and are expected to be based at Tahmoor Mine following completion of the proposed acquisition.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Engineer (2IC) will support the safe, compliant and reliable delivery of mechanical engineering and maintenance outcomes across Tahmoor Mine. This role will provide direct support to the Mechanical Manager, helping maintain mechanical engineering governance, statutory compliance, risk controls and operational readiness across underground mining activities.

This role is based at Tahmoor Mine, located in the Southern Highlands of NSW, approximately 80 kilometres south-west of Sydney and within easy commuting distance of Wollongong, the Macarthur region and surrounding communities.

Key activities include but are not limited to

- Support statutory compliance,



engineering governance and the Mine Safety Management System for mechanical engineering activities.
- Provide technical support across mechanical equipment, maintenance, infrastructure and operational priorities.
- Support the development and implementation of mechanical standards, procedures, inspections, permits and critical controls.
- Assist with audits, risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective action close-out.
- Coordinate mechanical maintenance priorities, resources, contractors and execution requirements.
- Support asset reliability, troubleshooting, commissioning, change management and continuous improvement activities.

ABOUT YOU

What you’ll bring

- Relevant mechanical engineering qualification, trade background, statutory ticket or equivalent recognised mechanical discipline experience.
- Experience in underground coal mining, preferably across mechanical engineering, maintenance, statutory compliance or operational support.
- Robust understanding of mechanical safety, statutory obligations, risk management, critical controls and Mine Safety Management System requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to support engineering governance, standards, procedures, inspections, maintenance execution and compliance activities.
- Sound technical troubleshooting, reliability improvement, planning and problem-solving capability.
- Ability to communicate clearly, influence stakeholders and work effectively across engineering, maintenance, production, planning and compliance teams.
