Senior Workforce Planning Specialist Full-time | Eight Mile Plains, QLD (office-based, 5 days per week)

About the prospect

We’re seeking a highly experienced Senior Workforce Planning Specialist to lead and optimise workforce planning across a multi-site environment. Working closely with senior leadership, this role is responsible for building a data‑driven, forward-thinking workforce planning function, ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time, while driving efficiency, compliance, and service continuity.

What you’ll do

- Lead workforce planning strategy, frameworks, and governance
- Oversee roster integrity and labour utilisation across multiple sites
- Drive a shift from reactive rostering to forecast‑led workforce planning
- Provide insights and reporting on labour costs, utilisation, and workforce trends
- Optimise casual workforce models and reduce agency reliance
- Deliver workforce forecasting aligned to demand, growth, and seasonal peaks
- Partner with senior leaders to provide strategic workforce advice
- Build capability across teams in rostering, compliance, and planning

What you’ll bring

- Extensive experience in workforce planning, rostering, or labour optimisation
- Strong understanding of Australian awards and workforce compliance
- Proven ability to develop frameworks, reporting, and governance models




- Highly developed analytical skills with the ability to turn data into insights
- Experience influencing and partnering with senior stakeholders
- Solid organisational skills in complex, multi‑site environments

Requirements

- Experience in a similar senior workforce planning role (in the OSHC, EC or Health Care sector would benefit)
- Proficiency with workforce planning and payroll systems
- Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
