Are you an experienced engineering professional who thrives in a construction environment and enjoys turning design into reality? We are seeking a motivated Field Engineer to join our Eva team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of major civil and structural projects.

As a Field Engineer reporting to the Deputy Construction Manager, you will be responsible for translating Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings into practical, constructable work packs that enable safe, efficient, and compliant construction activities on site. Acting as the critical link between engineering design and project execution, you will work closely with construction teams, engineers, designers, and project stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, effectively, and to schedule.

This is a fixed term role until 31/08/2028

This is a site-based role. This role will be DIDO from local communities or FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville to our site in Cloncurry with local candidates highly regarded. The roster is 14 days on, 7 days off.

Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. In Australia, Harmony owns the high-grade CSA copper mine in Cobar, NSW and is constructing the Eva Copper Mine in Cloncurry, QLD. These assets are supported by the Harmony Australasia regional corporate office located in Milton, Brisbane.

The Eva Copper Mine is a significant and strategically significant project for Harmony marking a major milestone in the company’s copper growth strategy and its long-term commitment to Northwest Queensland. The mine will have a minimum life of 15 years and will involve mining multiple open cut pits providing copper bearing ore to a concentrator. Front-end engineering design is complete, and mine construction is expected to take up to 30 months with first production targeted for the second half of the 2028 calendar year.
