J A & SON is an expanding business specializing in glass handling equipment, material handling equipment, mini cranes, access equipment hire, and much more. Established in 2013 we have expanded since then with equipment hire now located nationally around Australian and Current Zealand.

We currently looking for a qualified Mechanic / Service Technician to be part of our growing team based out of our branch in Tottenham. In this role, you will assume responsibility for the efficient and effective servicing and preventative maintenance of our extensive range of hire equipment maintaining exceptional quality with an attention to detail, working alongside our other mechanics.

The position is for a Full-Time candidate. This job has flexible working hours Monday to Friday between 7:00am - 5:30pm, with a 40, 45 or 50 hour working week available. Your experience will help to favour you to a higher hourly rate.

What role will you be doing.

Reporting to the Manager, this is a highly valued and critical role in ensuring our equipment is safe, up to standards, serviced and ready for hire for our customers. At times you will also be attending job sites to assist carrying out maintenance of equipment where required, using the company service vehicle.

You will have access to working on and maintaining state of the art equipment, including all big brands like Smart Lift,



Oktopus, JLG, Genie, Nifty, Skyjack, Manitou, Maeda and many more with some items being only 1 of 1 in the country.

You will be working in our modern large workshop with all the tools required at your fingertips to complete your job.

Experience in the following area's will be highly regarded:

- Performing planned preventative maintenance (PMP) and inspections
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs
- Carrying out troubleshooting, component replacements, and overhauls / restorations
- Ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard of safety and reliability to minimise operational downtime of equipment

Applicants must have the following to be considered:

- Current drivers licence
- Hold a mechanical trade qualification
- Experience with diesel and petrol engines, hydraulics, basic electrical skills and pneumatics preferred
- Have a positive attitude, and enjoy working as part of a team
- The ability to diagnose and repair mechanical faults across a variety of equipment, while maintaining service records
- High regard for safety in the workplace
- Are reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when needed
- Effective time management, taking pride in your work with an attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
