NR Metal Recycling is a growing Western Australian family-owned recycling business operating across Perth and remote mine sites throughout WA. Due to the continued growth of our mine site operations, we are looking for reliable, hardworking FIFO team members who want to join us for the long term; we are seeking strong, permanent labourers. THE ROLE

8:6-7/7 roster, working as part of our FIFO recycling team, you will assist with the collection, sorting, processing and preparation of scrap metal and recyclable materials across the mine site.

Duties may include

- Sorting and processing scrap metal and recyclable materials
- Operating forklifts and other machinery where qualified
- Using hand and power tools
- Loading and preparing materials for transport
- Dismantling and processing equipment and materials
- Assisting with general site clean-ups
- Working safely under JHAs, SWMS and site procedures
- Working closely with your Supervisor and FIFO team
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area

This is a hands-on, physical role, so applicants must be comfortable working outdoors, completing manual tasks and working in mine site conditions.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Safety conscious
- Able to follow instructions

- Respectful towards supervisors, colleagues and mine site personnel
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Interested in ongoing employment rather than short-term FIFO work

Mandatory:

- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Current Forklift Licence
- Ability to pass mine site medical and drug & alcohol requirements
- Ability to FIFO from Perth
- Full Australian working rights

Previous mine site, scrap metal, recycling, construction, mechanical, demolition, labouring or machinery experience will be highly regarded. Additional tickets such as Telehandler, Dogging, Rigging or other High Risk Work Licences will also be highly regarded — but if you don't have everything yet, we are particularly interested in applicants who have the right attitude and want to develop.
