Role Description The Financial Analyst (Hybrid, Entry-Level) role is a part-time position within the AIM Virtual Vac Work Programme, based in Sydney, NSW, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home arrangements. In this role, the analyst supports financial planning activities by gathering and organizing financial data, assisting with basic forecasts, and preparing summary reports for review.

Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and interpreting financial statements, contributing to financial reporting packs, and performing straightforward analytical assessments under supervision. The analyst will collaborate with mentors and team members in a hybrid environment, participate in virtual workshops, and apply actuarial and financial concepts to structured project work. This role is designed to build foundational financial analysis skills while providing practical exposure to the workplace.

Qualifications





- Strong foundational knowledge of Finance and exposure to Financial Planning concepts.
- Ability to work with Financial Statements and support Financial Reporting activities.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills, including comfort with quantitative data and basic analysis.
- Currently studying actuarial science, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel or similar tools; familiarity with data analysis or visualization tools is an advantage.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage part-time workload alongside academic commitments and work effectively in a hybrid setting.
- Interest in actuarial work, financial analysis, and developing professional workplace skills.
