About the role

We have an exciting new opportunity for you to start your career with us as a 1st year Fitting & Machining Apprentice (Engineering Cert III).

Centrally located at our facility in Islington, you will learn a range of precision engineering techniques including

- engine reconditioning,
- engine rebuilding,
- machining, grinding, both manual & CNC,

- dynamic balancing,
- ferrous and non-ferrous welding and
- metal arc spraying.

About you To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Completed year 12 Higher School Certificate or year 10 School Certificate with good results in Mathematics, English as well as Design/Technology subjects.

- A strong desire to learn, with an ability to follow instructions and a commitment to completing and passing all assessments.




- A high level of attention to detail and aptitude for quality workmanship.
- Effective interpersonal skills and an ability to build rapport.

- A high level of awareness and commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, positive and proactive attitude.

- A robust work ethic, with a high level of honesty and integrity.
- Good time management and organisational skills.

Applicants who have completed a pre-trade course and/or work experience within the metals and engineering field will be very highly regarded.
