Senior Full Stack Engineer

- Initial 12 months + 12-month extension option
- Hybrid working – 3 days per week in the office
- Locations across QLD, ACT, VIC, NSW and SA
- Australian Citizenship is required to be able to obtain an NV1 security clearance

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a large Federal Government environment, working across the development and enhancement of important digital systems, applications and integrations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on technically while also contributing to solution design, code quality and delivery across a team-oriented project environment. The role will suit a senior engineer with a strong cloud-native background who is comfortable working across the full software development lifecycle and partnering closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be involved in the design, build, deployment and ongoing support of scalable applications and services, with responsibilities including:

- Designing and developing cloud-based applications, APIs and integrations
- Working extensively across AWS infrastructure and services
- Building and maintaining infrastructure using Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
- Developing backend services and APIs using technologies such as Golang, TypeScript and Python




- Working with REST and GraphQL APIs
- Deploying and managing containerised applications using Docker, Kubernetes and Helm
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Participating in technical design discussions and code reviews
- Writing unit, component, integration and functional automated tests
- Working closely with QA teams to support integration and end-to-end testing
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements, priorities and delivery outcomes
- Contributing to a strong engineering culture and maintaining high development standards

What we’re looking for We’re keen to speak with experienced software engineers who can demonstrate strong hands-on experience across:

- AWS
- Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
- Golang, TypeScript and/or Python
- REST and/or GraphQL
- Docker, Kubernetes and Helm
- GitHub or GitLab CI/CD
- Automated testing and modern DevOps practices
- Full SDLC delivery within complex enterprise environments
- Experience with React and TypeScript frontend development , PostgreSQL or MySQL , accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1 , HashiCorp Vault, Artifactory or AI-assisted/spec-driven development would also be highly regarded.
