The Role

We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Planner to join our maintenance team at our Rockingham facility. This full‑time, Monday to Friday role is critical to keeping our processing operations running efficiently and compliantly.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Maintenance Manager, maintenance technicians, and production teams, requiring a working understanding of maintenance environments, plant and equipment, and the technical language that comes with it.

Responsibilities

- Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities across raw and cooked poultry processing areas.
- Develop and maintain a structured work order system, ensuring tasks are prioritised, resourced, and completed on time.

- Create and manage maintenance schedules aligned with production planning to minimise downtime and disruption.
- Coordinate shutdown and planned maintenance windows with production, engineering, and operations teams.
- Maintain and continuously improve the site asset register and equipment history within the CMMS.
- Develop and review SOPs and maintenance task instructions for all critical plant and equipment.
- Identify recurring equipment failures and support root‑cause corrective action with the maintenance and engineering teams.
- Manage spare parts inventory, including critical spares identification, reorder levels, and supplier coordination across 4,500+ inventory lines.
- Liaise with external contractors and OEM service providers, including scopes of work, scheduling and sign‑off on completed works.
- Support capital project planning by providing maintenance input on new equipment installations and commissioning activities.
- Monitor and report on key maintenance KPIs including planned maintenance compliance, MTBF and backlog management.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with food safety and hygiene requirements specific to raw and RTE cooked product environments.
- Apply and enforce safe work practices in accordance with WHS legislation, site policies,

and contractor management procedures.
- Support regulatory and third‑party audit preparedness by maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date maintenance records.

What We Need From You

- Previous experience in a maintenance planning, coordination or technical administration role — ideally in food manufacturing, FMCG, or a similarly regulated environment.
- A sound understanding of maintenance principles, plant and equipment, and the ability to read and interpret technical documentation including drawings and parts catalogues.
- Hands‑on experience with a CMMS platform (experience with Epicor or similar is an advantage).
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels — from maintenance technicians to senior management.
- Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach to record keeping and compliance documentation.
- The right to work in Australia.
- Successful applicants will be required to undertake a pre‑employment examination to meet the inherent requirements of the role.

Benefits & Working Conditions

- Excellent pay rate commensurate with knowledge and experience.
- Monday to Friday role with a stable, well‑established WA family business.
- Friendly and supportive work culture.
- Long‑term career advancement opportunities for people who demonstrate enthusiasm and ability.
- On‑site parking.
- Staff discount on products.
