About the Role The Fundraising & Communications Manager is responsible for leading the Foundation's fundraising, partnership development and communications activities.

You will develop and deliver initiatives that increase fundraising revenue, grow supporter engagement, strengthen donor and sponsor relationships, and expand awareness of MND and the Foundation's impact.

This is a hands-on role that combines strategic planning with operational delivery and is suited to a proactive professional who enjoys building relationships and driving outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Partnerships

- Lead the implementation and ongoing development of the Foundation's fundraising strategy.
- Grow and diversify income streams across community fundraising, events,



grants, corporate partnerships and philanthropy.
- Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors, donors, supporters and community stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue new corporate partnership opportunities.
- Support donor stewardship and retention activities to maximise long-term engagement.

Events

- Oversee the planning, delivery and evaluation of all Foundation fundraising events.
- Provide leadership and support to the Event and Administration Coordinator.
- Monitor event performance against revenue, participation and engagement targets.
- Oversee third-party fundraising events and community fundraising initiatives.
- Manage event budgets and financial reporting.

Communications & Marketing

- Develop and implement a communications and content strategy.
- Oversee the Foundation's website, social media channels, newsletters and digital communications.
- Create compelling stories and campaigns that increase awareness, engagement and fundraising outcomes.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all platforms.
- Coordinate public relations and media opportunities.

Systems & Administration

- Maintain accurate supporter, donor and event information within Salesforce.
- Use data and insights to improve fundraising performance and supporter engagement.
- Prepare reports and analysis for the CEO and Board as required.

Volunteer Management





- Recruit, develop and support volunteers involved in fundraising and events.
- Foster positive volunteer experiences and recognition initiatives.

About You

You are a motivated fundraising professional who combines strong relationship-building skills with strategic thinking and excellent communication abilities.

You thrive in a small team environment and are passionate about making a difference.

Essential Requirements

- Degree qualification in fundraising, marketing, communications, events or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in fundraising, communications, partnerships or event management.
- Demonstrated success delivering fundraising growth and stakeholder engagement outcomes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and working autonomously.
- Current driver's licence.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.

Desirable

- Experience working in the not-for-profit sector.
- Salesforce or CRM experience.
- Digital fundraising experience.
- Grant writing and philanthropic fundraising experience.
- Experience managing volunteers.
