The Role:

We’re currently seeking a Senior Garment Technician to join our talented Product Development team in a 4–5 day/week role and play a key role in an iconic Australian brand.

You will be responsible for ensuring all product delivered to market upholds Ripe’s high standards for quality, fit, and detail. You’ll work within our close-knit team, playing a crucial role from the first prototype to final shipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Work closely with the Product team to ensure technical execution delivers on the creative vision
- Follow design direction to create detailed technical packs
- Own the garment fit process from initial prototype through to bulk production
- Schedule and attend fit sessions, provide professional input, and manage all specifications, adjustments, and revisions
- Check and measure fit, pre‑production and shipping samples for quality and compliance,



and provide clear, detailed fit comments to suppliers at every stage from proto through to bulk.
- Partner with offshore factories on fit, pattern and workmanship, while clearly communicating and coordinating all quality control requirements.
- Maintain productive working relationships with off-shore suppliers, regularly reviewing their performance together with the product development team
- Carry out accurate garment grading across size ranges, ensuring clear tolerances and quality benchmarks are met
- Conduct risk analysis on new styles, arrange wash/wear testing as required
- Investigate product feedback on fit, manufacturing or quality, and equip the sales support team with clear information to respond to enquiries
- Maintain accurate product, fabric, supplier and scheduling data in the Apparel21 ERP system
- Monitor and manage timelines to keep the development and production critical path on schedule.
- Proactively identify and drive improvements in garment construction, fit, and overall quality.

What We’re Looking For:

- 4+ years’ experience as a Garment Technician in Women's Fashion Apparel
- Tertiary qualifications in Design, Pattern Making, and/or Grading
- Advanced knowledge of garment construction, grading, specs, and tech packs
- Experience with Lectra Patternmaking and Grading system
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly experienced in Excel
- Experience with fabric testing and quality assurance
- Strong communication skills with both international suppliers & internal team
- Strong organisational skills to adhere to critical path deadlines
- A detail-oriented, dedication to excellence and a solution-driven mindset
