General Dentist – Woonona & Dapto Dentists
Wollongong, NSW | Full-Time or Part-Time | Service Facility Agreement | Strong Established Patient Flow. Not a Corporate, but privately owned. Woonona & Dapto Dentists are seeking a confident, patient-focused General Dentist to join our established clinical team.
This is primarily a general dentistry role, ideally suited to a clinician who enjoys providing comprehensive, high-quality care and building long-term relationships with patients.
We are seeking a full-time dentist to work across our Woonona and Dapto practices. Part-time applicants are also welcome to work at one location, provided they can commit to a minimum of two days per week to support continuity of patient care.
The Opportunity
Our practices have a strong and consistent patient base, with approximately 260–290 new patients per month across the practices, together with established patients requiring ongoing care. The successful dentist will also have the opportunity to take over an existing patient base from departing dentists, allowing you to develop a productive book from the outset.
For the right clinician, there is excellent potential to build a strong general dentistry practice while gradually incorporating more complex or higher-value treatments according to your experience, interests and clinical scope.
General Dentistry
Your clinical work may include:
- Comprehensive examinations, diagnosis and treatment planning
- Preventative and maintenance dentistry
- Direct restorative dentistry
- Emergency dental care
- Endodontic treatment within your experience and scope
- Simple and surgical extractions where appropriate
- Periodontal treatment and ongoing maintenance
- Crowns and bridges
- Dentures and routine prosthodontics
- Long-term management of existing patients
- Development of comprehensive treatment plans based on ethical and patient-centred care
Our focus is on providing patients with appropriate treatment options, clear communication and long-term continuity of care.
Additional Clinical Opportunities
While advanced dentistry is not a requirement for this position, clinicians with the appropriate experience, training and interest will have opportunities to expand their work into areas such as:
- Veneers and cosmetic dentistry
- Smile makeovers
- Invisalign and clear aligner therapy
- Implant restorative dentistry
- Implant surgery within your training and scope
- Complex restorative dentistry
- Full-mouth rehabilitation
- Full-arch / All-on-4 treatment where appropriately trained
There is no expectation that you provide these treatments if they are outside your preferred scope of practice.
Clinical Facilities & Support
Our practices provide a modern digital clinical environment, including:
- CBCT and OPG imaging
- Digital intraoral scanners
- Modern and well-equipped surgeries
- Established clinical and administrative support teams
- Access to sedation pathways, including IV sedation
- Internal referral and collaboration opportunities for complex treatment
You will have clinical autonomy to practise your own style of dentistry under a Service Facility Agreement. Clinical collaboration and mentoring are available for dentists who value them, while experienced practitioners who prefer greater independence are equally supported.
Remuneration
- 40% of gross billings, excluding laboratory fees
- Higher percentage may be negotiated for selected high-value treatments, including complex restorative, implant, cosmetic and orthodontic cases
- Strong opportunity to develop a high-performing patient book
For an established and productive clinician, the available patient flow provides significant earning potential.
About You
We are looking for a dentist who:
- Holds current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Has a minimum of 1 years post-graduation clinical experience (Overseas experience also will be counted)
- Communicates confidently and builds strong patient rapport
- Provides ethical and evidence-based treatment recommendations
- Is comfortable managing a broad range of general dentistry
- Values continuity of care and long-term patient relationships
