About the Role

We are looking for a technically skilled and customer-focused Geospatial Solutions Manager to lead customer project deployment, technical onboarding, and ongoing field support across Australia. You will help customers successfully deploy and use Xpanner’s Robotic & Automation solutions, including but not limited to, GNSS, 3D design data, machine control, and surveying solutions across heavy construction, utility-scale solar, battery energy storage system (BESS), and data centre projects.

This is a hands-on, field-facing role that combines technical delivery, customer support, project management, and business development. You will manage multiple customer projects, identify opportunities to expand existing accounts, and, as Xpanner’s business grows, help build and lead a regional field support and installation team.

What You’ll Do

- Lead the initial setup of customer projects through site assessments and GNSS infrastructure planning, prepare and validate 3D design data for machine control, and commission and calibrate systems on heavy equipment.
- Train customers and site teams on the use of GNSS and machine control systems, provide ongoing technical support, and diagnose and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collect structured feedback from customers and project sites and share recurring issues and improvement opportunities with Product and R&D; teams.
- Manage the schedules, resources, budgets, stakeholders, records, and documentation for multiple customer projects to support on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and R&D; teams to support customer onboarding and ongoing service delivery across the Australian market.




- Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and generate additional sales and support the Sales team with technical scoping and quoting for new business.
- As the business grows, recruit, onboard, train, manage, and supervise field support engineers, installation technicians, subcontractors, and installation crews responsible for deploying the X1 retrofit kit.

Basic Qualifications

- 7+ years of field support or technical deployment experience in geospatial solutions, machine control, GNSS, surveying, or construction automation.
- Hands-on experience deploying or operating GNSS positioning systems, including RTK, base stations, and network correction services.
- Experience preparing or validating 3D design data for machine control and commissioning or supporting machine control systems.
- Working knowledge of surveying principles, site control, coordinate systems, and datum transformations.
- Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to plan and manage schedules, resources, and budgets across multiple customer projects and deliver them as planned.
- Ability to explain technical workflows clearly, train customers and site teams, and independently resolve technical issues under challenging site conditions and time constraints.
- Commercial awareness and the communication skills to support account growth,



technical sales, and business development discussions.
- Self-motivated and highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to customer project sites across Australia, as well as legal authorisation to work in Australia.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Surveying, Geospatial Science, Civil Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience with machine control and GNSS platforms such as Trimble, Leica, or Topcon, and related software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Centre, or Leica Infinity.
- Field experience in heavy construction, utility-scale solar, BESS, data centre, or mining projects.
- A surveying qualification or field survey experience using total stations and GNSS equipment.
- Experience leading, training, managing, or supervising field-based technical teams, subcontractors, or installation crews.
- Experience supporting new or existing business growth through customer-facing business development, account management, or technical sales.
- Experience working in a start-up or early-stage technology company.
- Familiarity with GPS/GNSS firmware, telematics platforms, advanced machine attachments, or retrofit automation systems.
