About the role

Start your Occupational Therapy career with Vital Health's 2027 #GoWest New Graduate Program, with opportunities across Western Queensland and the New England region of NSW. Opportunities are available across Roma, Charleville, Kingaroy and Dalby in Queensland, and Inverell in New South Wales. You can nominate your preferred location.

Our New Graduate Program combines structured clinical support with the variety and opportunities that come with working in rural and regional Australia. You'll build experience across a genuinely diverse caseload, work alongside a multidisciplinary team and have the opportunity to experience outreach services in communities across the region.

Your first year is about building confidence, developing your clinical skills and discovering the areas of Occupational Therapy you're most interested in.

Key responsibilities

- Work across a diverse caseload with opportunities including paediatrics, equipment prescription, home modifications, disability, neurological rehabilitation and aged care
- Participate in clinic-based sessions, community and home-based interventions, and supported outreach services to smaller rural and remote communities
- Engage in multidisciplinary case conferencing for complex client needs
- Develop your clinical skills through structured support and learning opportunities
- Work alongside Occupational Therapists and a wider multidisciplinary team including Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians, Psychologists and Allied Health Assistants




- Build experience across different areas of practice and develop your clinical interests as your experience grows

About you

- Hold, or will hold, a recognised Occupational Therapy degree
- Are eligible for AHPRA registration
- Have full Australian working rights
- Hold a current driver's licence
- Enjoy working with others and want to learn alongside both Occupational Therapists and a wider multidisciplinary team
- Are open to getting out of the clinic, travelling for outreach and experiencing different communities across the region

Our Occupational

Therapists work as part of multidisciplinary teams alongside Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians, Psychologists and Allied Health Assistants, with support from both their local team and Occupational Therapy discipline team.
