Contract until March 2027 | $500 per day + super | Melbourne CBD We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to join a well-known Australian energy retailer as it delivers a major transformation across its technology and digital customer experience.
A key focus of this contract will be supporting the development of a new website, which requires approximately 60 visual assets. Around half will involve original design work. The brand has a distinctive visual identity, combining clean, contemporary illustration with selected animation and motion applications.
The roleWorking closely with the marketing team, you’ll be responsible for:
- Designing original illustrated assets for the new website
- Producing static creative across website, digital and social channels
- Adapting illustrations into animated or motion assets for social advertising
- Interpreting webpage copy and recommending the right visual treatment
- Working directly with marketers to improve creative turnaround times
- Applying an established brand style consistently across multiple formats
What we’re looking forYour portfolio will be the most important part of the assessment. We’re keen to see:
- Strong digital or vector illustration work
- Website and digital campaign design experience
- Capability across both static design and motion or animation
- Experience working within an established brand illustration system
- Good conceptual judgement when translating copy into visual ideas
- The ability to collaborate directly with marketing stakeholders
Experience in energy or telecommunications may be helpful, but it isn’t essential if your portfolio demonstrates the right visual style. A short design exercise may form part of the interview process.

- Contract: Until the end of March 2027
- Rate: $500 per day + super
- Location: Melbourne CBD
- Hybrid arrangement: Two days working from home each week
