About Health Centre

Located 30km north of Newcastle at RAAF Base Williamtown, Australia’s premier fighter pilot training base. The base is one of the busiest in NSW, employing over 4500 people.

The health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical services.

Standard operating hours are generally Monday - Friday.

Whatyou’lldo

- Deliver high-quality mental health care to Defence members
- Conductingfitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care.
- Undertaking assessments,



interventions, managing medications, formulating treatment and care plans for individuals and group education sessions
- Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environmentwhere patientwellness is paramount

What You Bring

- Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- One of the following:
- ACMHN credentialed
- Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing
- Mental Health trained nurse / UK trained undergraduate Mental Health Nurse
- Minimum two years’ Post RN general registration experience within last five yearsin mental health within a Primary Healthcare Setting or Specialist Mental Health Setting
- Comprehensive assessment skills and experience in ‘Focussed Psychological Strategies’ and ‘Psychological Therapy’ as per Medicare Schedule
- Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
- Australian Citizenshiprequired to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
- Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
