Secondary Teacher – Distance Education

ANZUK Education is seeking dedicated and adaptable Distance Education Teachers for two urgent, full‑time ongoing secondary roles on the Gold Coast.

Distance Education Teacher – Year 8 or Year 10 (Gold Coast)

ANZUK Education is working in partnership with a secondary school on the Gold Coast to recruit two Distance Education Teachers for full‑time, ongoing positions . These positions will be commencing in term 2.

The positions will involve teaching either Year 8 or Year 10 , with an element of Mathematics required , within a flexible distance education model. The school offers the option of partial work‑from‑home , balanced with on‑site collaboration.

This school supports students in Years 7–12. It provides a highly personalised and flexible learning workplace with a strong focus on student wellbeing, project‑based learning and real‑world life skills , rather than traditional, lecture‑based approaches.

About the Role These positions would suit educators who are relationship‑focused, resilient and passionate about re‑engaging young people in learning. You will work closely with students who require flexibility, patience and innovative teaching approaches, particularly in a distance and blended learning context.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging Distance Education programs for Year 8 or Year 10 students, including Mathematics
- Design flexible,



project‑based learning experiences tailored to individual student needs
- Support and monitor student engagement, wellbeing and academic progress
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students and families
- Use digital tools and platforms effectively to support remote and blended learning
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary school team to support holistic student outcomes
- Contribute positively to a child‑safe, inclusive and supportive school culture

What We’re Looking For

- Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration, or eligibility
- Experience teaching Year 8 or Year 10 (Mathematics experience required)
- Strong interest or experience in Distance Education, flexible learning or alternative settings
- A trauma‑informed, student‑centred approach to teaching
- Commitment to wellbeing‑focused, non‑traditional education models
