The Opportunity: Are you a passionate educator looking to make a genuine impact in a non-traditional school setting?
We are currently seeking a Secondary Teacher to deliver Essential English within a unique, industry-focused learning environment in Brisbane’s western suburbs. This full-time permanent opportunity is suited to educators who value practical, real-world learning and are committed to supporting students through alternative education pathways.
You will be part of a dynamic and supportive team, working with students in Years 10–12 to build confidence, develop communication skills,
and achieve meaningful academic outcomes aligned with QCAA standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Essential English lessons aligned with QCAA requirements
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment tailored to diverse learners
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and the wider school community
- Contribute to the holistic development and wellbeing of students
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant teaching field
- Experience teaching English (Essential English experience highly regarded)
- Solid classroom management and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to engage students through practical and applied learning approaches
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
