We're looking for the person who wants to help make Piccolo by Amici one of Canberra's best little coffee bars.

Piccolo by Amici is a new Italian-inspired coffee and street-food concept in the heart of Canberra. We're serving ST. ALi specialty coffee alongside a small, focused Italian menu, and we're looking for an experienced full-time Head Barista to take ownership of the coffee side of the business.

We’re looking for someone who can make any coffee order that comes their way, who cares about coffee, works fast and clean, loves hospitality and takes pride in remembering the people who come through the door every day.

You’ll Be Responsible For

- Producing consistently excellent coffee at volume
- Dialling in and maintaining espresso quality throughout the day
- Fast, organised service during busy periods
- Milk texturing and quality latte art
- Maintaining an exceptionally clean and organised coffee station
- Training and maintaining standards across the team
- Managing coffee, milk and related stock
- Monitoring wastage and consistency
- Helping build a strong base of Piccolo by Amici regulars
- Taking genuine ownership of the coffee program

We’re Ideally Looking For Someone With

- 2+ years experience in a quality, high-volume café




- Strong espresso knowledge
- Excellent milk texturing and latte art
- The ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality
- Confidence dialling in and troubleshooting coffee
- Great communication and customer service
- Strong cleanliness and organisation
- Reliability and a genuine love of hospitality

Specialty coffee experience is highly regarded. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who takes pride in what they do. Please note: all applicants must have a valid and current right to work in Australia. Evidence of work rights will be required prior to commencement.
