We manage a range of holiday properties throughout the Whitsundays, from apartments and studios to larger holiday homes. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and understands the high standards expected in short-term holiday accommodation.

The Position

This is a casual position with the opportunity to become permanent part-time for the right person.

As Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning and presentation of our holiday properties and ensuring they are consistently maintained to a high standard.

Your Responsibilities

- Leading and coordinating our housekeeping team
- Cleaning and preparing holiday properties between guests
- Conducting quality checks to ensure properties meet HITW standards
- Identifying and reporting maintenance issues, damage or missing items
- Managing linen and cleaning supplies
- Assisting with staff training and ensuring cleaning procedures are followed
- Helping organise the daily housekeeping schedule
- Communicating with the management team regarding property requirements
- Responding to urgent housekeeping matters when required
- Ensuring properties are guest-ready and presented to a high standard
- Participating in the after-hours guest phone roster
- Communicating with guests and assisting with guest enquiries and issues during rostered after-hours periods
- Training will be provided for the after-hours guest communication role and HITW procedures

About You The successful applicant will:
- Have previous experience cleaning Airbnb or short-term holiday accommodation
- Have previous housekeeping or supervisory experience




- Have an excellent eye for detail and take genuine pride in their work
- Be reliable, punctual and well organised
- Be confident leading and supporting a housekeeping team
- Be able to work independently and take initiative
- Have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Be confident and professional when communicating with guests
- Be comfortable answering guest enquiries and assisting with issues over the phone
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting
- Have a current driver's licence
- Have a reliable vehicle
- Be flexible with working hours, including weekends and public holidays when required
- Be willing to participate in the after-hours phone roster
- Be willing to learn our systems and procedures — full training will be provided
