The Role

We’re hiring a Head of Special Projects — a high-agency, commercially sharp, AI-native operator working directly with us on the company’s most important initiatives. You’ll help build the next chapter of the business — and have a real pathway to C-suite role within 12 months.

You’ll scope, lead, and ship projects that drive leverage, growth, and clarity — especially the ones that don’t yet have a playbook or a dedicated owner.

This is a role for someone who wants to build - not spectate from a distance or build long decks of recommendations that either don't get read or actioned. Within 2-3 years expect to walk out knowing what it takes to scale from startup to nine figures, with the contacts and finance to build your own thing next.

What You'll Do

Don’t expect to stand still.



The work will swings from operations, logistics and finance to governance, product strategy, customer acquisition, investor relations, retention and AI — and every project that sits on this desk makes 6-7 figure impact. Projects may include:

- Leading our international go-to-market — from market selection to first orders landing
- Scoping and launching new categories and channels
- Supporting founder comms — from board decks to investor materials
- Standing up AI-powered systems and workflows that create team-wide leverage — agents doing real work, not pilots

Who You Are

You’ve likely done time in strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity, or at a rapid-scaling consumer brand. You get business fundamentals, but you’re itching to operate and have tangible, immediate impact. You want ownership, velocity, and the satisfaction of building something real.

You’re not just adopting AI to get things done faster and smarter (that's table stakes) — you're building automations at the edge and thinking about what the org structure of tomorrow looks like powered by AI.

You likely bring

- A love for pets and belief that product quality and impact matter
- Humility and deep curiosity — you ask the extra question, dig into how things actually work, and would rather learn than look right
- 2–3 years at Bain, BCG, McKinsey, strategy consulting or top-tier investment bank,



or 3–5 years inside a $20M+ D2C/subscription brand with real ownership over commercial or operational work
- Fluency in financials and ecommerce drivers — you can talk AOV, CAC, LTV, churn, margin
- A “can do” mindset — whether it’s “I’ve got this, expect it Monday” or “I’ll figure it out,” you’re proactive and reliable
- High comfort with modern ecommerce stack or ability to learn fast — e.g. Shopify Plus, Skio, Triple Whale, Klaviyo, Zapier, Claude, Canva
- Strong project management and communication skills — you move fast and bring others with you no matter the difference in working styles or personality
