About the role

As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of heavy vehicles and equipment. You will work across workshop, mobile and field-based environments, servicing customers throughout Brisbane and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

- Scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs
- Working on prime movers, rigid trucks, trailers, and heavy vehicles
- Mechanical fault finding and diagnostics
- Hydraulic and electrical fault diagnosis
- Brake, suspension and steering repairs
- Cooling system, clutch, gearbox, and engine repairs
- Inspections and identification of required repairs
- Preventative maintenance
- Mobile breakdown and field service work
- Completing accurate job notes and service records

About you

- Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Fitter or similar
- Previous experience working on heavy road transport vehicles
- Strong knowledge of trucks, trailers, and heavy vehicle systems
- Experience with mechanical diagnostics and fault finding
- Hydraulic and electrical diagnostic experience
- Strong mechanical problem-solving skills




- A high standard of workmanship
- Good communication skills
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Current driver's licence
