Early Childhood Teacher | Brighton

Looking for a passionate, experienced ECT to join our small NFP service!

The Centre
We are a welcoming, community-based not-for-profit early learning centre located in the beautiful bayside suburb of Brighton. Our service prides itself on being a warm, inclusive “home away from home,” with a strong focus on relationships, play-based learning, and connection to our local community.
We are currently seeking an experienced, passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team!
The Opportunity
This is a wonderful opportunity for an ECT to join a collaborative, community and values-driven team.
In this role, you will lead the integrated 3–5-year-old kindergarten program, supporting up to 20 children in a well-resourced learning environment. You will be supported by a team of experienced educators and leadership, with generous planning time to deliver a high-quality, play-based program that reflects children’s interests and learning needs.
The Candidate
To apply for this role, you will have have experience working as an early childhood educator in the kinder space, or in a similar role and must have a Bachelor Degree in Early Years Education or ACECQA approved equivalent, as well as your Provisional VIT.

In addition, you will have an in depth knowledge of the EYLF and NQS. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and must have a team focused philosophy, as well as looking to be part of the local community and build lasting relationships with families. The must be goal driven, and have a forward thinking mindset!

The ideal candidate will hold:

- Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)



or ACECQA approved equivalent
- VIT registration
- 2 years as the ECT in the 3-4 year old program
- Current first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis
- Mandatory Reporting Certificate
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Mentoring and Training Experience desireable
- Full working rights
