Our client is a Queensland Local Government organisation supporting a coastal and regional community in Central Queensland. Employing approximately 400 people and servicing almost 37,000 residents, the organisation delivers essential community, infrastructure, regulatory and corporate services across a large geographic area.

This is an excellent short-term opportunity to experience the Capricorn Coast, with accommodation provided for the successful contractor.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Coordinator Revenue Services for a 3-month labour hire contract with possible extension.

Based in Yeppoon, you will lead the day-to-day Revenue function and ensure effective delivery across council rates, charges, collections, debt recovery, reconciliations and financial controls.





This is a hands‐on leadership role requiring solid local government revenue knowledge and the ability to provide technical guidance while managing and developing a Revenue team.

- Hours: 36.25 hours per week
- Onsite: 5 days per week
- Accommodation: Provided
- Start: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support the day-to-day activities of the Revenue team.
- Oversee rates, charges, billing and revenue collection processes.
- Manage local government debt recovery activities and external collection providers.
- Maintain accurate revenue reconciliations, accounts and financial controls.
- Provide specialist advice on rating, revenue and debt recovery matters.
- Support revenue operations across Infor Pathway and TechnologyOne.
- Monitor rating structures, billing processes, adjustments and outstanding debts.
- Contribute to budgeting, financial reporting, audits and reconciliations.
- Maintain fees and charges registers, policies and revenue procedures.
- Prepare reports and provide revenue insights to management.
- Resolve complex rates and revenue enquiries.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and customer outcomes.




- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external providers.
- Coach and develop Revenue team members.

About You

You will ideally bring strong hands‐on experience from an Australian council revenue, rates or accounting environment and be comfortable stepping into an interim leadership position.

- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related discipline.
- Substantial revenue management, rates or accounting experience.
- High-level Infor Pathway experience.
- Sound TechnologyOne experience.
- Local Government rates and revenue experience.
- Experience with Local Government debt recovery.
- Experience working with external debt collection providers.
- Strong understanding of rating legislation and financial controls.
- Demonstrated leadership or team management experience.
- Revenue Accountant or Treasury Accountant experience is highly regarded.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Current motor vehicle driver licence.
- Ability to work onsite in Yeppoon 5 days per week.
- Valid Australian working rights are required. Sponsorship is not available. Australian citizens, permanent residents and candidates holding an appropriate long‑term Australian work visa may be considered.
