About the Role We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join the services business team in Melbourne on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the HRBP Lebuad, responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Victorian Services business by deploying, developing and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
****The role will be Melbourne-based with multiple operational site visits across Melbourne and surrounding areas.
You will:****
- Be closely connected to the business, working with managers and employees to understand issues and provide practical HR solutions
- Advise and support business leaders on HR policies, processes, employee relations and people management
- Drive the Performance Management Cycle, including performance reviews, merit processes, people reviews and development plans
- Proactively manage employee matters throughout the employment lifecycle, including probation and fixed-term arrangements
- Support employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes and workplace issues
- Coach managers on effective HR practices, policies, processes and programs
- Partner with business managers to deliver HR initiatives and change management activities
- Support leaders and employees through organisational and workforce change
- Deliver training on HR processes and people-related topics
- Ensure accurate employee data, employment documentation and HR reporting
- Support initiatives across D&I;, employee engagement, culture and capability development
- Identify and implement continuous improvement across HR processes
- Support the IR Manager with Enterprise Agreement negotiations and broader Industrial Relations matters, including union engagement
About You You will be an experienced HR skilled who can confidently operate in a complex, operational environment and build strong relationships with leaders at all levels.
You will bring
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Industrial Relations or a related field
- Demonstrated HR leadership experience in a maintenance, engineering services, infrastructure or project delivery environment
- Proven Industrial Relations experience, including working with Enterprise Agreements, employee relations matters, workforce consultation and union engagement
- Demonstrated experience supporting and leading change management initiatives within a complex or operational setting
- Robust business acumen, with experience driving HR initiatives across culture, change management, talent management and employee retention
- Proven expertise in developing and implementing HR initiatives that enhance business outcomes, with a focus on diversity, leadership development and performance management
- Robust collaboration and influencing skills, partnering effectively with senior leaders to align HR initiatives with organisational objectives
- In-depth knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Industrial Relations frameworks and employee relations practices
- Ability to coach leaders through complex HR and IR decisions and support them through organisational change
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees, leaders and union representatives
