The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC & R Service Technician preferably commercial project works to join their growing team in Chermside, Queensland.

In this full time position, you will play a key role in servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across their commercial and domestic customer base.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician seeking a stable, long-term position within a supportive and professional team environment. You will work closely with Building Supervisors, Project Managers, Customers, and other Technicians to deliver high-quality HVAC & R solutions and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair a broad range of HVAC & R systems, including air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.
- Install new HVAC & R equipment, components, and associated systems as required.
- Identify faults and provide effective technical solutions in a timely and professional manner.
- Liaise with Building Supervisors, Project Managers, clients, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide professional technical advice.
- Maintain accurate service reports, job records, and documentation, including parts and materials used.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with relevant Australian standards, legislation, manufacturer specifications, and company procedures.
- Maintain a strong focus on workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements.




- Work collaboratively with the broader team to ensure projects and service requirements are completed efficiently and professionally.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other technicians when required, helping to build their technical confidence and knowledge while contributing to a safe and supportive workplace.

About You To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced HVAC & R professional who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

You will ideally have

- A Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent formal HVAC & R qualification.
- Experience in the Commercial – fit outs and design and construct
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as an HVAC & R Service Technician, preferably within a commercial or industrial environment.
- Strong technical knowledge and practical experience across a range of HVAC & R systems and equipment.
- Proven fault-finding, diagnostic, servicing, and repair capabilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.
- A solid commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
- A professional approach and a willingness to support and mentor other technicians when required.
- A current Australian driver's licence.
- A valid ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence.
- A valid White Card.
- A valid EWP (Elevated Work Platform) licence.




- Australian citizenship or Australian permanent residency, as required for this position.
