We’re looking for an experienced HR professional to join our team as a Consultant – Human Resources. This is a dual role, combining hands-on internal HR partnering for TUNDRA with opportunities to work directly with clients across a range of engagements. One day you might be partnering with a TUNDRA leader to build internal capability; the next, you could be working with a client on an organisation design, workforce planning or transformation program.
This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable operating in a fast-paced and changing environment, and wants to do more than traditional HR.
You will play a key role across:
- Internal HR Business Partnering & People Advisory
- Organisation Design & Operating Model Transformation
- Workforce Planning & Workforce Strategy
- HR Process Improvement & Optimisation
- Culture, Capability & Organisational Effectiveness
- Change Management & Transformation
- HR Systems & Technology Support
- People Strategy & HR Frameworks
- Employee Relations & Workplace Advisory
- Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management
What You'll Be Responsible For
Internal HR Business Partnering
- Partner with TUNDRA leaders to understand people, capability and organisational challenges and provide practical, commercially sound advice.
- Support the delivery of TUNDRA’s people strategy, frameworks and core HR processes as the business continues to grow.
- Provide advice across the employee lifecycle, including performance, remuneration, employee relations, organisational change and workforce planning.
- Identify opportunities to improve the way TUNDRA manages its people, processes and systems.
- Support leaders to build capability, manage performance and create a high-performing team environment.
HR Consulting
- Work as part of consulting teams to deliver people-focused engagements across mining, energy, agriculture and industrial clients.
- Support organisation design and operating model reviews, including role design, organisational structures, accountabilities and workforce implications.
- Develop workforce plans, workforce transition approaches and people strategies aligned to broader business objectives.
- Review and optimise HR processes, systems and ways of working to improve efficiency, consistency and employee experience.
- Support culture and capability initiatives, including capability frameworks, leadership, performance and organisational effectiveness.
- Develop practical change management approaches, communications and implementation plans to support successful transformation.
- Analyse complex people and organisational issues and translate findings into clear recommendations and practical solutions.
- Develop high-quality client deliverables including reports, presentations, frameworks, process maps, assessments and implementation materials.
- Work directly with client stakeholders, building trusted relationships and confidently navigating challenging or ambiguous situations.
- Contribute to business development activities, proposals and the continued development of TUNDRA’s HR consulting capability.
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- Solid experience in generalist and HR business partnering roles.
- Sound understanding of specialist HR areas, including culture and capability, remuneration and benefits, and HR systems.
- Experience partnering with leaders to understand and solve people, capability and organisational challenges.
- Experience developing and implementing HR solutions, processes, frameworks or programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to move from identifying an issue to designing a practical solution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and operate effectively in ambiguous environments.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related discipline.
Highly Regarded
- Previous management consulting or professional services experience.
- Experience in mining, resources, energy or other asset-intensive industries.
- Experience in organisation design, workforce planning, transformation or change management.
- Experience working across HR systems, process optimisation or HR technology implementations.
- Change management accreditation (Prosci or similar).
