Salary Starting from $ 86,477.26 The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is seeking a Human Resources Officer to join our People and Culture team. Reporting to the Coordinator People and Culture, you will provide responsive, accurate and professional HR support to a designated portfolio of business units, working closely with managers, employees and the broader People and Culture team.
About The Role In this role, you will:
- Provide timely advice and support across a broad range of employment and People and Culture matters.
- Interpret and apply the City's Enterprise Agreement, policies and procedures.
- Coordinate recruitment activities for designated business units and support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
- Participate in interviews and selection processes for key positions.
- Coordinate employee onboarding, probation and exit processes.
- Maintain employment-related registers, including visa and Working with Children Check requirements.
- Prepare HR reporting and workforce analytics.
- Assist with workplace grievances, complaints and employee relations matters.
- Support relevant health and safety activities, including Drug and Alcohol testing where required.
- Build solid and credible relationships with managers, employees and external stakeholders.
- Represent the City at careers events and support initiatives aimed at developing future recruitment pipelines.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of People and Culture processes and practices.
About You We are looking for someone who brings:
- Experience in Human Resources or a similar people-focused business support environment.
- A qualification in Human Resources, Employment Relations or a related discipline is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of contemporary Human Resources functions and practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- The ability to establish credible and collaborative working relationships.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills,
with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Initiative, sound judgement and a practical approach to problem solving.
- A high level of professionalism, discretion and commitment to confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
You will also need to hold a current satisfactory National Police Clearance and a current WA ‘C' Class driver's licence.
