INSOLVENCY ANALYST - Full Time Position

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Insolvency Analyst to join our team to provide skilled services relating to insolvency administrations, financial reporting, and business advisory services. This position involves managing small to medium-sized insolvency administrations while utilising expertise in corporate and personal insolvency procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Insolvency Administration Support:

- Preparation of standard appointment documents including internal processes such as opening and closing of bank accounts, creation of matter folders and internal management systems
- Undertaking investigations into the affairs of insolvent entities with all source information being documented and summarised in file note form
- Researching and referencing appropriate legislation where necessary
- Preparation of statutory forms and lodgements

Financial Management:

- Preparing receipts to detail recoveries made during administrations and recording same in internal management systems
- Preparation of payments required in administering estates
- Calculation, preparation and payment of dividends
- Preparation of detailed reports to creditors
- Conducting financial analysis of insolvent entities including cash flow, balance sheets, and income statements

Stakeholder Management:

- Attendance at meetings of creditors including preparation of minutes, attendance registers and lodgement requirements
- Liaising and corresponding with all parties to administrations
- Keeping all relevant internal and external parties informed of progress and developments




- Liaising with team members, particularly when planning ahead for specific activities and submission deadlines
- Acting as liaison between creditors, debtors, legal teams and insolvency practitioners

Key Requirements Essential Skills & Abilities:

- Demonstrated understanding of relevant principles of corporate and personal insolvency legislation, rules and guidelines
- Proven experience in insolvency administration procedure
- Professional and ethical conduct at all times
- Excellent reporting and communication skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Strong task prioritisation and deadline management skills
- Capability to work within set budgets and timeframes
- Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with emotional third parties
- Experience in financial investigations and pursuing available legal claims

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential Education:

- Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to formal qualification

Professional Registration:

- Bachelor degree minimum in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Relevant experience in the Insolvency industry - minimum 2-3+ years required





Core Competencies Required:

- Knowledge of financial reporting and compliance requirements
- Understanding of statutory and regulatory frameworks
- Budgeting and cost management capabilities
- Financial investigation skills
- Accounting systems (MYOB, Xero, Aryza Insol6 or IPS Insolvency)
- Risk assessment and internal control systems understanding
- Experience with GST and BAS lodgements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling

Experience:

- Insolvency Experience - minimum 2-3 years required
- Experience as Insolvency Analyst or similar role
- Background in financial analysis and management accounting
- Experience with insolvent entity investigations
- Proven track record in stakeholder management and creditor reporting

Performance Standards Successful candidates will be expected to maintain:

- Compliance with professional, legal and ethical standards and procedures
- Adherence to company guidelines regarding all forms of communication with external parties
- Compliance with Employee Manual guidelines
- Competent and timely completion of assigned tasks
- Professional grooming and conduct appropriate to professional status
