Hiring: Azure Integration Developer / Engineer | Melbourne | 12-Month Contract (Extension Likely) | Hybrid

VAT Talent is partnering with an enterprise client to find an experienced Azure Integration Developer / Engineer to support the design, development and implementation of integrations across their application landscape.

This is a hands-on integration role — not application development — for someone who can independently take an integration requirement from design through to production.

Location: Melbourne (Hybrid — 2-3 days per week in office)

Engagement: Contract / Resource Augmentation — 12-month fixed term, with likely extension

What you'll be doing: -

- Designing, developing, testing and deploying integrations using Microsoft Azure integration services
- Building and maintaining APIs, system-to-system integrations and event-driven solutions
- Partnering with business and technical stakeholders to translate integration requirements into technical solutions
- Developing integrations between enterprise SaaS, cloud and existing business applications
- Troubleshooting integration failures, performance issues and production incidents
- Implementing error handling, monitoring, logging and retry mechanisms
- Producing technical documentation covering design, interfaces, mappings and deployment
- Collaborating with client architecture, application, infrastructure and security teams
- Supporting deployments across development, test and production environments

What you'll bring:-
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure API Management (APIM), Azure Service Bus and Event Grid / event-driven patterns
- Solid REST API experience with JSON/XML data transformation and mapping
- Strong knowledge of Azure security — Managed Identities, OAuth and Entra ID




- Experience with Application Insights / Log Analytics for monitoring and troubleshooting
- CI/CD and deployment experience using Azure DevOps
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with client stakeholders
- Experience working within enterprise environments with established architecture, security and governance standards
- Ability to work collaboratively across onsite and offshore teams

? Nice to have
- Enterprise SaaS, HR, ERP or finance system integration experience
- Understanding of common enterprise integration architecture and patterns
- Experience working in hybrid environments involving Azure and on-premise systems
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Bicep, ARM or Terraform)
- Exposure to integration platforms such as Boomi (advantageous, not mandatory)
