The Opportunity A fantastic chance has arisen for a Junior IT Assistant to join our energetic and supportive corporate team. Reporting to the Facilities Manager and the Senior IT Specialist, you will assist in the daily operation and maintenance of the organisation’s IT infrastructure.

Description

The Role

As the Junior IT Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

- Troubleshooting and resolving predominantly level 1 & 2 support issues face-to-face, over the phone, and using remote support applications.
- Installing, configuring, supporting, and maintaining the organisation's computer hardware, software, servers, networks, printers, and IT peripherals.
- Ensuring jobs in the helpdesk system are prioritised and actioned while maintaining accurate notes on status, resolutions, and escalations.
- Facilitating user onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective.
- Creating and maintaining documentation for IT procedures, processes, and solutions.

Skills and Experiences

Required Skills

- Experience with Windows desktop environments.
- Experience with Microsoft (Office) 365.
- Basic computer hardware knowledge - PCs, laptops, printers, etc.
- Working knowledge of general computing and networking concepts,



with an active interest in developing skills in Windows server operating systems (Windows server, Active Directory, Office365, OSI/ITIL model).

About You

- Degree or Certificate in Information Technology, or a strong IT base understanding (qualifications in IT are beneficial but not essential).
- High standard of written and verbal communication.
- Outgoing personality with a customer service mindset; you’re always happy to help someone, your patient, tolerant, and can prioritise and multi-task.
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to work calmly under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and see tasks through to completion with minimal supervision.
- Can-do attitude with the ability to think outside the box when solving complex problems.
