About the Role

We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our kitchen team. You'll play a key role in keeping our kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly, supporting our chefs so they can focus on producing great food.

Key Responsibilities

- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment throughout service
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping, portioning)
- Receive and store deliveries correctly, rotating stock (FIFO)
- Empty bins and manage kitchen waste appropriately
- Set up and pack down kitchen stations before/after service
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Report low stock or equipment issues to the kitchen manager
- Support the team during busy service periods

Skills & Experience
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience preferred but not essential




- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a rapid-paced environment
- Good physical stamina — role involves standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks
- Strong understanding of (or willingness to learn) food hygiene and safety practices
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required

Requirements
- Food Safety/Hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Availability for shift work

Pay: From $26.44 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 – 38.0 per week
