Position Summary The Lead Cardiac Physiologist is a clinical and operational leader responsible for delivering high-quality, efficient, and patient-centred cardiac diagnostic services across Advara HeartCare WA.

The role is accountable for:

- Driving clinical excellence and consistency of care
- Improving service access, utilisation, and throughput
- Leading day-to-day team performance and capability uplift

Working in partnership with the other Lead Cardiac Physiologists, this role plays a key part in optimising service delivery, reducing wait times, and ensuring sustainable business performance across all sites.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Team Performance

- Provide visible, hands-on leadership across sites, setting clear expectations for performance, professionalism, and patient care
- Drive a high-performance culture with accountability for output, quality, and teamwork
- Coach and develop staff to improve:
- Clinical competency
- Productivity (e.g. tests/day, list utilisation)
- Patient interaction standards
- Proactively manage underperformance and behavioural issues in partnership with Leads
- Act as a go-to escalation point for operational and clinical issues

1. Service Delivery & Business Performance

- Own delivery of daily and weekly service capacity targets
- Actively manage and optimise:
- List utilisation
- Patient flow
- No show / cancellation rates
- Identify and implement initiatives to:
- Reduce waitlists
- Reduce no show rates
- Improve device utilisation rates and maximise use of available equipment and rooms

Increase throughput without compromising quality Work with leadership to ensure alignment between staffing and demand

Contribute to achieving revenue and margin targets through efficient service delivery

1. Workforce & Rostering Accountability

- Develop and manage rosters aligned to demand and service targets
- Ensure appropriate skill mix across sites and modalities
- Manage short-term workforce gaps (leave, sick, surges) with minimal service disruption




- Approve payroll with accountability for accuracy and cost control
- Support workforce planning to address:
- Leave impact
- Capacity constraints
- Growth opportunities

1. Clinical Quality & Governance

- Ensure consistent delivery of best-practice cardiac testing across all sites
- Drive standardisation of protocols, workflows, and reporting quality
- Lead clinical quality initiatives including:
- Audit and peer review participation
- Incident review and learning
- Reduction of variability in test quality
- Maintain oversight of:
- Accreditation requirements
- Infection control and safety standards
- Actively contribute to a culture of clinical excellence and continuous improvement

1. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance:
- Efficiency
- Patient experience
- Staff workflow
- Support rollout of:
- New technology
- Digital workflows
- Service model changes
- Use data (where available) to inform decisions and track improvements

1. Patient & Referrer Experience

- Ensure delivery of a consistent, high-quality patient experience across sites
- Support timely access to care, particularly for urgent referrals
- Maintain strong working relationships with:
- Referrers
- Cardiologists
- Resolve patient or referrer issues promptly and professionally

1. Operational Oversight

- Ensure equipment uptime and readiness to support service delivery
- Oversee consumables and clinical asset management
- Coordinate daily operations to ensure smooth clinic flow

1. Required Skills & Experience

- Advanced clinical competency in cardiac diagnostics




- Demonstrated experience in leading teams and driving performance outcomes
- Solid understanding of healthcare operations and service delivery models
- Ability to balance clinical quality with efficiency and access
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
