About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a prominent Federal Government client. Our client is currently seeking a Lead Microservices & AI Technical Architect (EL2 equivalent) to support a major business application transformation program of work. In this role, you will provide overall technical leadership and architectural authority, drive critical system build and engineering decisions, and guide the adoption of AI across the entire service delivery lifecycle.

You will be instrumental in establishing enterprise microservices and event-driven architecture foundations, embedding modern platform engineering practices, and ensuring continuous capability transfer across multidisciplinary teams. We are looking for a senior leader with exceptional communication skills, deep technical authority, and a proven track record of delivering scalable, modern enterprise technology solutions.

Skills And Experience

- Extensive experience designing, implementing, and governing cloud-native, microservices, and event-driven architectures within complex enterprise environments to deliver scalable, resilient, and secure platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise in AI engineering and AI-enabled solution delivery, including the development, deployment, and operationalization of enterprise AI capabilities, semantic search, machine learning, and responsible AI practices.
- Robust software engineering and platform engineering capability, encompassing modern development frameworks, DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, security by design, and operational excellence.
- Proven ability to lead enterprise technology modernization initiatives, providing technical direction, influencing architecture decisions, and delivering measurable improvements in platform reliability, security, and scalability.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams and translating complex business requirements into practical technology outcomes.
- Experience with container platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, AKS, EKS, or GKE, including platform automation and governance

Desirable

- Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), platform engineering, observability tooling, and cloud platform modernization
- Experience leading delivery within Agile environments, coaching geographically dispersed teams, and driving capability uplift.
- Must hold a current Baseline security clearance (or ability to obtain).
