Role Purpose The M&A; Integration Programme Manager will lead the end-to-end integration of an acquired business, managing the IMO, cross-functional workstreams, governance, risks and stakeholders. The role requires strong programme management and M&A;/integration experience, with the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on across operations, processes, systems, change and risk to deliver successful integration outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Integration Strategy & Planning: Develop and manage the overall integration roadmap, including Day 1, Day 30, Day 100 and stabilisation milestones, governance and workstream plans
- Operations Integration: Lead the practical integration of operations, facilities, assets, stock, service delivery and procedures while maintaining business continuity, resilience and operational readiness.
- Process Integration: Identify gaps and duplication across both organisations and lead the design, harmonisation and implementation of future-state processes, policies and ways of working.
- Systems Integration: Coordinate the integration or consolidation of systems, applications, data and reporting, ensuring successful migration, testing, implementation and data integrity.
- IMO Leadership: Establish and lead the Integration Management Office, coordinating workstreams, dependencies, milestones and governance forums.
- Governance & Reporting: Maintain programme controls, dashboards, KPIs and executive reporting, while managing risks.
- Stakeholder Management: Build robust relationships across leadership and legacy organisations, facilitate alignment and support executive decision-making.
- Change & Communications: Ensure change management, employee engagement, communications and business readiness are embedded within the integration programme.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage operational, workforce, commercial and regulatory risks, with appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of programme/project leadership experience, with proven M&A; integration and cross-functional programme management expertise.
- Strong experience in governance, risk management, executive/C-suite stakeholder engagement and portfolio management.
- Preferably experienced in corporate development, international integrations, private equity or complex operational/industrial environments.
- Degree in Business, Project Management or related field; PMP, PRINCE2, MSP or equivalent preferred.
- Success will be measured by delivering integration milestones on time, maintaining business continuity, embedding new processes and systems, managing risks/dependencies, and ensuring stakeholder adoption.
- Ability to identify and eliminate duplication and inefficiencies while maintaining operational resilience, compliance and business performance.
The salary range for this role is $150,000 to $190,000 AU per annum.
