An exciting opportunity awaits for an experienced Occupational Therapy leader to take up the Manager Occupational Therapy role at Royal Darwin Palmerston Hospital.
The Role
You will lead and develop a team of 28 Occupational Therapists across Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospitals, with key responsibilities including clinical leadership, quality improvement, service development, staff development and recruitment, contract management and formation of collaborative partnerships.
You’ll be supported by a Senior Management team comprised of other Allied Health discipline Managers and the Director of Allied Health, ensuring you have the resources and mentorship to thrive in your role.
About you:
To be successful, applicants will have:
- Significant post-graduate experience, delivering high-level, contemporary occupational therapy services.
- Proven management, service planning and leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate team functioning to achieve outcomes.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with influence and supervise and manage workplace relations.
- A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in clinical practice.
- Demonstrated ability to provide an innovative, strategic and flexible approach to service development and delivery through facilitation and implementation of continuous quality improvement, projects and adherence to legislative standards.
