MC Truck Driver – Linehaul· Kewdale Depot

· $40.29ph + 67.6c Kilometre rate

· 12 days on / 2 days off

Our client is a Western Australian transport and logistics business specialising in the safe and reliable movement of “ugly” freight across Perth and regional WA. We are seeking experienced and confident MC Truck Drivers to join the team, operating triple and quad road trains while delivering freight throughout Western Australia.

This role is ideal for drivers who are safety-focused, confident handling multi-combination vehicles and have a solid knowledge of Perth Metro and WA roads.About the Role

Our client operates a well-maintained fleet of Freightliner Coronados, with new trucks joining the fleet soon. We also have a strong 1 driver, 1 truck policy, you’ll have the same vehicle for each run, allowing you to take pride in and enjoy your own truck. The role involves a majority of runs to Kalgoorlie and the Goldfields with some runs up North, transporting mining and general freight throughout regional Western Australia.

Experience driving on dirt roads and remote routes is a bonus, along with confidence in safely restraining mining freight. If you’re an experienced MC driver who takes pride in your truck, is confident operating on regional WA roads, this is a outstanding opportunity to join a professional operation with quality equipment and consistent work.

Key duties include:

- Operating triple road trains and heavy combination vehicles.
- Safely loading, unloading and securing freight.
- Coupling and uncoupling trailers and confidently reversing into dollies.
- Conducting pre-trip, en-route and post-trip vehicle inspections.




- Planning safe and efficient routes using GPS and your knowledge of WA roads.
- Complying with WA Fatigue Management, LUEZ, Chain of Responsibility(CoR) and load restraint requirements.
- Maintaining accurate run sheets, timesheets, fatigue and delivery records.
- Communicating with Fleet Schedulers and supervisors regarding routes, delays, deliveries, fatigue and downtime.
- Maintaining the vehicle in a clean, safe and roadworthy condition.

About You****To be successful, you will have:

- Valid WA MC Driver Licence.
- Proven experience operating triple road trains.
- Ideally 2+ years' MC driving experience; candidates with less experience may be considered depending on confidence, skills and experience.
- Confidence reversing into dollies and coupling/uncoupling trailers.
- Strong knowledge of Perth Metro and regional WA.
- A strong commitment to safety and compliance.
- Ability and willingness to work a 12 days on / 2 days off roster.

Required Tickets & Certificates****You will also need:

- Valid Commercial Driver Medical.
- Valid Fatigue Management Certificate (Drivers).
- Police Clearance.
- Other relevant tickets/certificates applicable to the role, such as CV, LF or DG.
