About the role
We're looking for a commercially minded and detail-oriented Media Operations & Governance Manager to work on Australia's most significant and high-profile tourism accounts.
This is a unique opportunity to sit at the intersection of media, finance and operations, supporting a complex, globally connected account with substantial investment across multiple international markets. You'll play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, operational excellence and governance compliance, while collaborating with stakeholders across Australia and around the world.
Working closely with senior agency leadership, finance teams and market leads, you'll gain exposure to large-scale budget management, global campaign operations, international reporting frameworks and commercial decision-making.

What you will do with us:
- Oversee governance frameworks, operational processes and service delivery controls across multiple markets.
- Monitor compliance with operational standards, agreed processes and governance requirements.
- Manage global account budgets, forecasting and financial performance tracking.
- Deliver consolidated reporting, variance analysis and actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Ensure consistent reporting structures, taxonomies and governance standards across markets
- Own the end-to-end client billing process, including retainers, project fees and approved out-of-scope work.
- Manage revenue recognition, accruals, work in progress and unbilled revenue in line with contractual requirements.
- Oversee accounts receivable,
debtor management and working capital performance.
- Act as the key point of contact for billing queries, reconciliations and issue resolution.
- Manage global retainer allocations, recharge processes and intercompany billing activities.
- Monitor foreign exchange impacts and perform reconciliations across international markets.
- Maintain documentation, allocation methodologies and commercial governance processes.
- Provide analysis and recommendations to support financial decision-making.
- Partner with account leadership and finance teams to support commercial management and contract administration.
- Assess the commercial and financial impact of client requests and scope changes.
- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, finance teams, media operations teams and senior leaders across markets.
- Translate financial, operational and campaign data into clear recommendations and business insights.
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience managing governance frameworks, operational processes and cross-functional stakeholder groups, ideally within a media agency.
- Experience within media finance, client accounting, marketing services or a related commercial environment.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, revenue recognition, accounts receivable and working capital management.
- Experience managing multi-market budgets, client billing arrangements and cross-border financial processes.
- Working knowledge of digital media campaign delivery and performance reporting.
- Experience extracting and analysing data from digital media platforms such as Google Ads, DV360, CM360, Meta or TikTok.
- Ability to interpret campaign, financial and operational data and translate it into meaningful insights.
- Proven experience supporting audits, compliance programs and governance initiatives.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial analysis capability.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience in media operations, campaign governance, reporting platforms such as Power BI or Looker Studio, or multi-currency environments will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise, manage multiple workstreams, and operate effectively in fast-paced environments.
- A clear sense of operational rigour and governance, including budget stewardship, risk awareness, and accountability.
