Medical Receptionist – Floater
Full-Time | Multiple Melbourne Locations | Flexible & Varied Role | Training Provided Vision Radiology is seeking a reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic Medical Receptionist to join our team as a Full-Time Floater Receptionist.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced receptionist who enjoys variety, working across different teams and clinics, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
As a Floater Receptionist, you will provide reception support across our Northern Melbourne clinics, assisting with staff coverage, leave, busy periods and operational requirements.
Clinics Include:
- Coburg
- Thornbury
- Reservoir
- Greensborough
- Other Vision Radiology locations as required
The successful applicant will need to be comfortable travelling between clinics and working at different locations depending on the needs of the business.
About the Role
As a Floater Medical Receptionist, you will play an important role in supporting our reception teams and ensuring our clinics continue to operate smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include
- Greeting patients and providing a warm, professional and welcoming experience
- Booking and coordinating patient appointments
- Answering telephone and email enquiries
- Processing patient information, referrals and payments
- Checking and updating patient details accurately
- Providing administrative support to the clinical team
- Liaising with patients, referrers and clinical staff
- Supporting clinics during periods of staff leave or increased demand
- Adapting quickly to different clinic environments and teams
- Working across different reception teams and locations
- Maintaining a high level of patient service and professionalism at every clinic
- Assisting with general administrative duties as required
About You
We are looking for someone who is flexible, reliable and confident working across multiple locations.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous medical reception, administration or customer service experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A warm, friendly and professional manner
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy environment
- Confidence working with different teams and adapting to new environments
- A positive and can-do attitude
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A reliable and flexible approach to work
- The ability to travel between our Northern Melbourne clinics as required
Medical imaging experience is highly regarded but not essential, as full training will be provided.
