What you'll be doing To provide efficient and effective community mental health services to young people aged 12years up to 18years who are residents of the Mid North Coast Local Health District

About You

You are a compassionate and dedicated mental health professional with qualifications that support registration or membership with your relevant professional body, bringing a strong commitment to supporting children, young people, and their families experiencing complex mental health challenges. You have well-developed assessment and therapeutic skills and are confident delivering evidence-based interventions that promote recovery, resilience, and improved mental health outcomes.

Your understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act, Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) legislation, National Mental Health Standards, and contemporary best practice principles enables you to provide safe, ethical, and person-centred care. You are committed to working within legislative and professional frameworks while advocating for the needs and wellbeing of young people.

You are recognised for your excellent communication and interpersonal skills,



with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with clients, families, carers, schools, community agencies, and multidisciplinary teams. Your professional and empathetic approach allows you to engage effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and contribute to coordinated, holistic care planning.

Highly organised and adaptable, you are confident using a range of computer applications and data management systems to maintain accurate clinical records, support reporting requirements, and contribute to service outcomes. With a current unrestricted Driver Licence and a willingness to travel as required, you are committed to providing accessible, high-quality mental health services across a variety of community and clinical settings.
