The Reject Shop

Victoria

You’ve seen the headlines. You’ve heard the hype.

The Reject Shop is now part of global retail giant Dollarama, and we're building something big.

2026 is set to be a landmark year. Our store network is growing, our customer offer is evolving, and we're on a journey towards 700 stores. To make that happen, we need great execution in every store, every day.

We're looking for a Merchandise Operations Lead to join our Store Support Centre team and play a critical role in connecting Merchandise, Store Operations, and our wider business. You'll help turn strategy into action by ensuring stores receive the right information, tools, and support to successfully execute merchandising and operational initiatives.

This is a highly collaborative role where you'll coordinate activity across multiple teams, manage competing priorities, and help simplify the way our stores work. If you thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and love bringing structure, clarity, and efficiency to complex challenges, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

- Coordinating merchandise and operational activity across our national store network.
- Translating merchandise and business requirements into clear, practical actions for stores.
- Managing and maintaining the annual Store Activity Planner in partnership with Merchandise, Operations, and Communications teams.
- Coordinating scheduled and ad hoc store tasks through Store Portal and other business systems.
- Maintaining store operating guides, standards, planners, and supporting documentation.
- Supporting the execution of promotional events, seasonal programs, price changes, product deletions, and range updates.

- Coordinating product withdrawals and recalls in partnership with Quality Assurance and key stakeholders.
- Monitoring store task completion and providing reporting and insights to business leaders.
- Facilitating cross-functional meetings, forums, and merchandise execution activities.
- Supporting the planning and administration of State Manager and Regional Manager meetings and conferences.
- Managing merchandise and store support inboxes, responding to queries and coordinating escalations.
- Coordinating store consumables, uniforms, fixtures, and operational supplies.
- Supporting supplier administration, forecasting, purchase orders, invoice approvals, and service requirements.
- Working closely with Technology teams to resolve system issues and improve store support processes.
- Identifying opportunities to automate, simplify, and improve store execution and operational efficiency.

What you'll bring

- Experience in retail operations, merchandise operations, or a similar coordination role.
- Strong planning, administration, and organisational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to turn complex requirements into simple store-friendly instructions.

- Experience working across multiple functions including Merchandise, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Technology, and HR.
- A practical and customer-focused approach with strong commercial awareness.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to following tasks through to completion.
- Confidence using retail task management, workflow, or enterprise systems.
- Experience with SAP, ServiceNow, WorkJam, or similar business platforms will be highly regarded.
- Previous experience within discount, value, or large multi-site retail environments would be advantageous.
- A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for making ways of working simpler and more effective.

What we can offer you

- The opportunity to be part of one of Australia's most exciting retail transformation stories.
- A collaborative and supportive team workplace where your ideas are valued.
- Growth opportunities and development opportunities within a growing national retailer backed by Dollarama.
- Exposure to senior stakeholders across Merchandise, Operations, Supply Chain, Technology, and Leadership teams.
- Employee benefits including paid parental leave and EAP support.
- Flexible working arrangements and a contemporary Store Support Centre environment.
- A role where your work directly impacts store teams and customers across Australia.

This is more than a coordination role. It's an opportunity to influence how our stores execute, improve operational efficiency, and help shape the future of value retail in Australia. Ready to own it and do it? Apply now and be part of something big.
