We deliver services across the ACT covering children, families, young people and seniors including housing and mental health services.

Join a supportive mental health program delivering short-term, recovery-focused support to people following a suicide attempt or crisis.

In this role, you will provide up to 12 weeks of person-centred support to individuals experiencing suicidal ideation with plan and intent, helping them build safety, strengthen protective factors, and reconnect with community and services.

You will work alongside participants to develop safety plans, establish routines, and support their recovery journey through a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach.

About the Role Key Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

- Provide person-centred outreach support across the ACT community.
- Build trusting relationships with participants following a suicidal crisis.
- Support individuals to identify goals and access the services and supports they need.
- Work collaboratively with mental health, housing, health, AOD, and community service providers.
- Complete assessments, safety planning, case notes, and reporting requirements.
- Deliver support using recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches.

About You

Experience and Qualifications:

- A Certificate IV or higher qualification in Mental Health, Community Services, Peer Work, AOD, or a related field.
- Experience supporting people experiencing mental health challenges, psychosocial distress, or complex needs.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a supportive team environment.

To be eligible for employment, you must have an active Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card, working rights in Australia,
