Kenthurst Nursery is looking for a reliable and skilled MR Truck Driver to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.
Established in 1980, Kenthurst Nursery is one of Sydney’s leading wholesale nurseries, supplying trees, shrubs and other greenlife to landscapers, developers, garden centres and industry customers across NSW.
This role is primarily responsible for delivering nursery stock throughout the Sydney metropolitan area, with occasional deliveries to the Central Coast, Newcastle and Wollongong.
About the Role
- Permanent full-time position
- Minimum 38 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- 6:00am starts
- Optional overtime as required
- Sydney metropolitan deliveries
- Occasional Central Coast, Newcastle and Wollongong runs
- Company truck provided
- Immediate start available
The primary vehicle is a 2019 Isuzu FSR 140/260 14T Pantech, fitted with a tailgate lift/loader.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete daily delivery runs safely and efficiently
- Load, secure and unload nursery stock
- Complete multi-drop deliveries to customer sites
- Check delivery paperwork against loads
- Obtain customer signatures and delivery confirmations
- Communicate delivery issues, shortages or changes back to the nursery
- Maintain the vehicle in a clean and presentable condition
- Complete basic daily vehicle checks
- Assist with loading and dispatch activities when required
- Represent Kenthurst Nursery professionally when dealing with customers
About You To be considered, you must:
- Hold a current MR licence or higher
- Have a good driving record
- Be reliable and punctual
- Be physically capable of undertaking delivery work
- Be comfortable completing metropolitan delivery runs
- Have good communication and customer service skills
- Take care of company vehicles and equipment
- Be able to work independently and follow delivery schedules
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- Multi-drop deliveries
- Nursery or horticultural products
- Landscaping or construction deliveries
- Tailgate loader operation
- Sydney metropolitan driving
